Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Olmsted County Public Health has confirmed a third case of COVID-19 involving an Olmsted County resident.

A news release indicates the patient has a history of travel to a high-risk area. The positive test result was received late Friday. Officials say the patient is now at home and recovering in isolation. All three Olmsted County cases involved travel to areas considered high risk for the new viral illness.

Statewide, the state health department reported there have been another 19 presumptive cases of COVID-19 in Minnesota since the previous total was announced on Sunday. That raises the statewide total to 54, which includes 3 cases of community transmission in the Twin Cities.

Benton and Blue Earth counties were added to the list of Minnesota counties with positive test results. COVID-19 has now been detected in 13 of the state's 87 counties. The number of people tested for coronavirus is up to nearly 2,000.
