A news release issued on Friday by the Red Wing Police Department says officers responded to the complaint of a man yelling at staff, cursing and screaming at the shop at 1320 Old West Main St. in Red Wing. The call came in on Tuesday.
The suspect, later identified as 31-year-old Broderick Watson of Red Wing, had left the store before police arrived, the news release says.

Staff reported that Watson had damaged a flag in the store and threw a piece of metal from the flag into the parking lot, police say. Police later found Watson and cited him for damage to property.
Watson was also formally trespassed from the store. Authorities say Watson is also suspected of committing additional sign thefts.
The news release also says the City of Red Wing has received complaints about profanity seen on signs.
Officials are reminding the public that while some may be offended by the signs or find them morally wrong, they are protected by the First Amendment.
