UPDATED: Rochester Man Killed In Elgin Area Wreck
Elgin, MN - (KROC AM News) - There was a fatal traffic wreck near Elgin Monday that may have been weather related.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the wreck happened around 6 p.m. and led to the closing of a stretch of Highway 42.
The State Patrol says a car driven by 51 year old Brian Mueske of Rochester crossed the centerline and collided with another vehicle. He died at the scene.The State Patrol says he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The other vehicle was driven by 53 year old Kathleen Nault of Elgin. She was taken to St. Mary’s for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The State Patrol says the road was icy at the time of the wreck.
