Vandals Cause Extensive Damage at New Rochester Apartment Complex
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Extensive vandalism is being reported at an apartment building that is under construction near Rochester’s Apache Mall.
The vandalism occurred sometime Sunday night or early Monday at the Red 44 complex north of 16th St SW, along the Zumbro River.
Police reports indicate 26 units were damaged.
The damage included spray painted walls, discharged fire extinguishers and broken windows, doors, cabinets and vanities. Appliances were also damaged, as were some hallways.
Police did not report a damage estimate. A spokesman says the units were nearly finished. The complex is scheduled to open this summer.
