Damaging winds moved through the area last night blowing down trees and causing power outages. The weather will continue to impact the region Thursday morning. There are schools in our area that are delaying classes today. See that list below.

The forecast for today calls for winds at 25 to 35 mph with occasional gusts reaching 50 mph. Travel will be difficult, especially this morning, and especially for high profile vehicles.

Decorah Schools: Closed 

Grand Meadow Public Schools will have a 2 Hour Delay

Hayfield Community Schools: 2 hour delay; SACC open regular hours

Howard-Winneshiek Community Schools: Closed

Houston Public Schools: 2 Hour delay; no morning preschool

Jefferson Elementary School: Closed. SACC canceled

LeRoy-Ostrander Public Schools will have a 2 Hour Delay

Lyle Public Schools will have a 2 Hour Delay

Plainville-Elgin Schools: Closed

Southland Public Schools will have a 2 Hour Delay
