City of Rochester office-based services will shift to virtual methods Thursday, December 22 through Saturday, December 24. Find out what that means here, and read the latest cancellations and announcements below.

Here are the school closings, delays, and other weather-related cancellations and announcements across the Rochester and Southern Minnesota area for Wednesday, December 21st through Friday, December 23rd, 2022:

Wednesday, December 21st:

Blooming Prairie Schools: Closing at 1:00pm on Wednesday

Owatonna Schools: Dismissing 2-hours early on Wednesday

Rochester Public Schools:

• SAC remains open this afternoon
• Elementary afterschool academy canceled
• Middle School afterschool canceled
• Early childhood family education canceled
• Rochester ALC Night school canceled, no supper meal service
• No supper meals and John Marsal and John Adams
• Community education after school and evening enrichment programs canceled
• No evening activity bus routes
• Activity busses leaving middle school at normal dismissal times running as scheduled
• No High School Athletics or activities
• Drumline Showcase will be rescheduled

Thursday, December 22nd:

Olmsted Medical Center: the following branches are closed Thursday and Friday

• Cannon Falls Clinic
• Chatfield Clinic
• Pine Island Clinic
• Plainview Clinic
• Preston Clinic
• Spring Valley Clinic

Byron and Lake City clinics will be open Thursday and Friday.  Rochester clinics and the hospital will remain open both days.

Channel One Food Bank in Rochester will be closed Thursday and Friday.

All RPS buildings will be closed.

Triton Public Schools: Closed, Cobra care and all activities canceled Thursday and Friday

NICC Calmar Campus: Closed on Thursday

Winona State University - Rochester Campus: Closed on Thursday

Zumbrota-Mazeppa Public Schools: Closed Thursday

Hours for church services and local businesses could also change because of the storm. Please call ahead to make sure they are open before traveling.
