Woman Charged With Deadly Overdoses
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Twin Cities area woman is accused of selling drugs to three people who overdosed and died all within the last year.
Thirty-year-old Beverly Burrell is jailed on $1 million bond and is expected to make a court appearance in Hennepin County Thursday. She's charged with murder for the three deaths.
Twenty-year-old Luke Ronnei, of Chanhassen, died in January. Twenty-nine-year-old Nicholas Petrick, of New Prague, died in a Costco parking lot in Eden Prairie in April. And, 21-year-old Maxwell Tillitt overdosed at an Eden Prairie hotel in September.
Authorities say Burrell was arrested after they used a confidential informant to make controlled drug purchases. It was not immediately clear if Burrell had hired an attorney.
