Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 49-year-old Minneapolis woman was hit by a semi-truck in the southbound lanes of highway 52 near the 55th street interchange in NW Rochester yesterday afternoon when she exited a vehicle that had stopped along the right shoulder and ran into traffic.

She was rushed to St. Marys Hospital with what were described as life-threatening injuries, but a Mayo Clinic spokesperson says the woman is listed in good condition this morning. The 69-year-old Rochester man driving the truck was not hurt.

The 1:30 pm crash snarled traffic heading into Rochester on Highway 52 for almost two hours while the State Patrol was conducting its investigation.
