Woman Hurt in Crash With Semi at Southern Minnesota Interchange
Austin, MN (KROC-AM News)- A southern Minnesota woman was injured following a crash at an I-90 interchange Monday afternoon.
The State Patrol responded to the two-vehicle shortly before 4:30 p.m. A semi and car were involved in the crash.
The state crash report indicates the car was entering westbound I-90 at the Oakland Ave. interchange in western Austin when it collided with a semi truck that was already in the interstate’s westbound lane.
75-year-old Linda Deloris Peterson of Albert Lea was identified as the driver of the car. She was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver, identified as 36-year-old Dayton David Hartung of Fairmont, was not hurt. Alcohol was not involved in the crash and both drivers were wearing seatbelts, the report says.
The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Austin Police Department, Mayo Clinic Ambulance and Austin Fire Department also responded to the crash.
