Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A young woman from West Concord has entered guilty pleas to charges stemming from a home invasion and a separate vehicle theft that occurred in Rochester earlier this year.

Five Felony Charges Dismissed Through Plea Deal

According to Olmsted County court records, 19-year-old Emma Jo Lynn Monson has admitted to felony counts of terroristic threats and theft. Under the terms of her plea agreement, a list of additional felony charges connected to the two incidents, including burglary, threats of violence, criminal damage to property, and motor vehicle theft, were dismissed.

Initially Reported as a Burglary and Assault

The home invasion was initially reported as a burglary and assault on April 9. The criminal complaint in that case says Rochester police responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Marion Road Southeast and found two women restraining Monson.

Accused of Biting and Punching Other Women

The court document says the officers were told that Monson came to the home and began throwing rocks at the house and a car parked in the driveway, including one that broke a window of the home. It was alleged that Monson then pushed her way into the house and assaulted one of the occupants by pulling her hair and biting her shoulder.

Monson was also accused of punching another woman in the eye and biting a woman's thumb before she was restrained until police arrived at the scene. The victims also told police that Monson threatened to kill one of the residents of the home.

The responding officers documented broken windows on the house and the vehicle, as well as dents on the exterior of the home that appeared to have been caused by thrown rocks.

Car Stolen From Rochester Gas Station

Olmsted County court documents indicate the felony theft conviction stemmed from an incident that occurred in the early morning of March 26, when Rochester police were called to a southeast Rochester gas station to investigate a vehicle theft. The owner told officers that he had parked his car and that it was stolen by a customer. The criminal complaint says the vehicle owner also told police that he had left his phone and $1,000 in cash inside the car.

Monson was arrested later the same day when the stolen vehicle was located in Cottage Grove and she and another person were found inside.
