2 Minnesota Men Killed in Early Morning Head-On Crash
Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News) - A head-on crash early Saturday morning in south-central Minnesota claimed two lives.
The State Patrol says the deadly collision was reported shortly after 2:30 AM on a rural highway about 10 miles west of Mankato. A preliminary report on the incident indicates a southbound vehicle and a northbound vehicle collided head-on on Highway 15 in Brown County just north of the town of Madelia.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as 33-year-old Aaron Gronau and 28-year-old Luis Perez. The State Patrol says both men were from New Ulm.
The road conditions were described as wet at the time of the fatal crash. It's not yet known if alcohol was a contributing factor.
