Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - There were at least two fatal shootings in the Twin Cities on Black Friday.

The South St. Paul Police Department is reporting that officers responded around 4:50 PM on Friday to a report of shots fired. When they arrived at the location, the officers found a man on the shoulder of the road with apparent gunshot wounds to his upper torso.

A news release says the officers, along with EMTs from the South Metro Fire Department administered emergency medical care at the scene before the victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. No arrests have been reported in the name of the victim has not been released.

The other fatal shooting was reported around 3 PM in Minneapolis. A news release from the Minneapolis Police Department indicates officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment building and found a 60-year-old man suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.

No arrests have been reported in connection with the incident, but Minneapolis Police say preliminary reports indicate that the shooting occurred when an altercation escalated to violence. The name of the victim in the Minneapolis case has also not been released.

There was also a fatal shooting in Minneapolis on Thanksgiving Day. The Hennepin County Medical Examiners Office says a 31-year-old Minneapolis man died from a gunshot wound to his abdomen suffered in a shooting at an apartment in Minneapolis Thursday morning.
