Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered for a Rochester man who was charged with trafficking thousands of fentanyl pills.

The criminal complaint filed against 28-year-old Hussein Abdirahman Sheikh-Adam  last summer stemmed from a narcotics investigation conducted by the Rochester Police Department in 2023. The court document says investigators executed a search warrant at his home in the 200 block of 1st Avenue Northwest after conducting multiple controlled buys using a police informant in August and July 2023.

The court document states that, during an interview with investigators, Sheikh-Adam admitted to selling the pills and indicated that he would pick up around 1000 pills at a time from a contact in the Twin Cities.
