A Boulder Theft in Oronoco

Oronoco, MN (KROC AM News) - How’s this for an unusual theft. As many as 20 boulders, some weighing more than a ton.

The reported theft occurred in Oronoco a few weeks ago.

A Twin Cities construction firm told the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office the boulders were being used for landscaping projects and were being kept at a site in the 800 block of Territory Ln NW.

The company says the 15 - 20 “decorative “ boulders came from a quarry in Wisconsin and are valued at $4,000. The boulders ranged in weight from 1200 - 3,000 pounds.
