
Attempted Armed Burglary Suspect Captured After Downtown Rochester Foot Chase
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A man suspected of an attempted armed burglary was captured following a foot chase in downtown Rochester.

That’s according to Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson.
Officers responded to the attempted burglary around 6 a.m. on Monday and made the arrest later in the day.

Rochester Police Arrest Attempted Armed Burglar After Downtown Foot Chase
The alleged burglary attempt occurred in the 1000 block of Cascade St. NW.
The man living at the home told police a person he knew “showed up with a gun and attempted to break in,” the police report says.
Officers later found the suspect, identified as 40-year-old Abdulkadir Mohamed in the 200 block of North Broadway Ave. in downtown Rochester.
Grayson says Mohamed fled from officers but was captured after a brief foot chase. Police did not say whether or not he had a gun on him at the time of his arrest.
Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records indicate Mohamed was booked into jail shortly before 3:00 Monday afternoon.
Grayson says he could face charges of second-degree assault and ineligible person in possession of a firearm. His first court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
Update: Rochester police say he was spotted in the 200 block of North Broadway Ave.
