Dodge Center, MN (KROC-AM News) - An Austin man was transported by ambulance to St. Marys Hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Dodge County this afternoon.

Austin Man Taken to Rochester Hospital After Crash

The State Patrol says the incident was reported just before 1:45 p.m. on Highway 56, approximately four miles north of Dodge Center. The crash report says the pickup was headed south on the highway when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled into the ditch.

The road surface was wet at the time.

Driver Was Alone in Pickup

The driver of the pickup, who was alone in the vehicle, was identified as 69-year-old Douglas Allen Adamson. The State Patrol described his injuries as non-life-threatening.

The crash report indicates he was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not involved.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office, along with the Dodge Center Fire Department and Dodge Center Ambulance, also responded to the scene and assisted the State Patrol.
