Authorities ID Minnesota Man Killed in Pedestrian-Vehicle Crash
Bloomington, MN (KROC-AM News) - Minnesota authorities have identified a man who was killed Wednesday night when he was struck by a vehicle in the Twin Cities.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiners Office says 58-year-old Joey Marshall Williams was from Minneapolis. The report on his death indicates it was the result of multiple blunt force injuries.
The Bloomington Police Department previously reported that Williams was struck by a vehicle while he was walking on East Old Shakopee Road in an area about a mile east of I-35 W near the backwaters of the Minnesota River. The deadly incident was reported around 10:50 p.m.
Williams was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he died less than an hour later.
His death is among the nine traffic fatalities that have occurred in Minnesota in just the past week.
