Authorities Seeking Info About Minneapolis Man Found Dead in Mississippi River

Inver Grove Heights, MN (MinnesotaNow)- The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office is asking for information from the public after a man’s body was found over the weekend.

A news release issued on Monday says investigators can only release limited information about the case due to “the sensitive nature of this investigation” and out of respect for the deceased man’s family and friends.

Minneapolis Man Found Dead in Mississippi River Near Inver Grove Heights Saturday

40-year-old Timothy Bryan Standish Jr. of Minneapolis was found dead on Saturday. 

Authorities say his body was located in the Mississippi River near Inver Grove Heights. A cause of death has not been given. 

Ties to Minneapolis

Standish Jr. was known to have lived in the Stevens Square neighborhood, which is near downtown Minneapolis, authorities say.

Investigators are asking anyone who knew him or has information regarding his friends, associates or recent activities to come forward.
