RPU said Thursday morning the roughly 25 impacted properties have been notified. The boil water advisory is a precaution against the possibility of a loss of pressure causing contamination, according to RPU.
Officials say water service has been restored in the impacted area and that updates will be provided when they become available.
RPU reported the water main break around shortly before 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. Following the break, RPU teams made repairs and flushed the system, a post on the utility provider’s Facebook page says.
Crews closed North Broadway Ave. from Elton Hills Drive to 16th Street Northeast. The roadway has since reopened.
