
Byron Motorcyclist Hurt in Deer Crash Near Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Another motorcyclist has been injured in a collision with a deer in southeastern Minnesota.
Another Motorcycle Hits Deer in Southeast Minnesota
The latest incident was reported by the Minnesota State Patrol shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday. The crash report indicates the injured motorcyclist was traveling west on Highway 14 near the intersection with 40th Avenue Southeast on the east edge of Rochester.
Byron Man Injured
The motorcyclist was identified as 54-year-old John Pereda of Byron. He was transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance to St. Marys Hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The State Patrol report indicates he was wearing a helmet and alcohol was not involved in the incident.
Another Deer Collision Reported Friday Evening
The other motorcycle-versus-deer crash was reported Friday evening in Mower County. The State Patrol says 48-year-old Christopher Weaver of Owatonna also suffered non-life-threatening injuries when his motorcycle collided with a deer on Highway 218 near Blooming Prairie.
