Brainerd, MN (MinnesotaNow)- The State Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal vehicle-pickup truck collision.

It happened in the Brainerd Lakes area shortly before 6:30 Tuesday morning. The State Patrol identified the motorist on Wednesday morning.

37-Year-Old Man Identified as Victim of Fatal Car-Train Collision Near Brainerd

The deadly collision occurred at railroad crossing located on West Gull River Rd., which is about eight miles west of Brainerd. 

37-year-old Keith Michael Donovan of Brainerd was identified as the car’s only occupant. The State Patrol indicates he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

He was not wearing a seatbelt and not under the influence of alcohol, according to the state crash report.
