Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Chatfield man has been charged for the alleged sexual abuse of a young girl.

That’s according to a criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court on Monday. 

The court document states a family member of the victim reported the alleged sex abuse to the Chatfield Police Department last October after the victim confided in her.

Chatfield, MN Man Accused of Frequently Sexually Abusing Young Girl

40-year-old Theodore Allen Mapstone Peters is charged with one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct

During an interview with law enforcement, the young victim said Peters began sexually abusing her when she was between the ages of five and seven at the young girl’s home, the complaint says. 

She told police the sexual abuse initially started on a monthly basis then escalated into being a daily occurrence, according to the court document.

During an interview with investigators Peters admitted to sexually touching the victim, the complaint says.

Peters has been charged by summons. His first court appearance in the case has not yet been scheduled.
