Duluth, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota man has been convicted in a federal child pornography case.

Federal court documents say he was an active participant on a site on the dark web that is dedicated to trafficking and discussing child sexual abuse material. 

He was linked to an account that published over one thousand posts on the site, including a post requesting child pornography, according to a news release issued by Minnesota U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Jury Convicts Minnesota Man in Federal Dark Web Child Pornography Case

In December of 2022, the FBI executed a search warrant at the Bemidji home of 47-year-old Craig James Myran. Federal agents seized multiple hard drives and a cell phone. 

Federal court documents say investigators found evidence on the devices that connected Myron with the dark web account.

The devices contained the files requested for by the dark-web account connected to Myron and also had thousands of other images depicting child sexual abuse material, federal court documents say. 

Earlier this week a federal jury found Myron guilty on on two counts of advertising child pornography, one count of distributing child pornography, and one count of possessing child pornography. His sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.
