COVID-19: Minnesota Daily Test Total Hits New High Mark

St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - State officials today reported a new daily record for COVID-19 tests.
The Minnesota Department of Health says 19,959 tests were completed on Saturday, which is about 700 above the previous high mark that was reported on July 9th. The tests identified 806 new infections for a positivity rate of just over 4-percent. 13 of the new cases were found in Olmsted County.
The health department reported 9 additional coronavirus-related deaths on Sunday. A total of 312 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 with 148 of those patients in intensive care. The hospitalization total increased by 3 from Saturday, while the ICU bed usage dropped by 6.
