COVID-19: Only 3 Deaths but Over 700 News Cases in MN

St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - State health officials today reported only 3 additional COVID-19 deaths statewide, but the number of new cases grew by over 700.
The 737 new cases reported today were detected by the over 16,800 tests that were completed on Saturday. Hennepin and Ramsey County accounted for over 45-percent of those cases. 12 of the new cases were found in Olmsted County.
There are currently 258 people hospitalized due to COVID-19 and 120 of the patients are being treated in intensive care units. The number of ICU beds used by COVID-19 patients has been edging slightly higher in recent days and is the highest it has been in a week.
