Dayton Says He’ll Sign Remaining Bills
St. Paul, MN (Minnesota News Network) -- Governor Dayton said he'll sign all the bills passed by lawmakers early Saturday morning. After a day and night of behind-the-scenes wrangling, the Minnesota Legislature passed the last of its budget bills and adjourned the special session at about two am.
The sticking point right to the end was a controversial environment/agriculture bill that didn't have enough votes to pass the Senate early Friday afternoon. Provisions were taken out, put back in again, and it finally passed about 1:30 am.
