31-year-old Kadar Abdulkadir Abdullahi of Faribault was identified as the subject of the investigation in the court document.
Abdullahi allegedly sold the informant more than 40 pills that later tested positive for fentanyl, the complaint says. Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records indicate he was booked into the jail on Thursday afternoon.
During the alleged drug deal, Abdullahi was serving the supervised release portion of a sentence for a second-degree drug sales conviction in Hennepin County, according to court records.

He was given a 75 month prison sentence at the case's conclusion in 2023 but was given credit for more than three years spent behind bars prior to his sentencing.
Abdullahi is charged with one count of aiding and abetting first-degree drug sales. He’s being held on $50,000 bail and is due back in court later this week.
