Ellendale house wiped out by fire

A rural Freeborn County home was wiped out by an overnight fire. It was reported just

after 1 a.m. at the Greg and Maureen Riley residence located near Ellendale. Firefighters from 5 towns responded to the blaze but could not save the home,which has been declared a total loss. The initial investigation indicates the fire was an accident, started by a hot charcoal grill that was located in the garage.
