Rochester Area Job Growth Rate Continues to Lead in Minnesota
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Minnesota's unemployment rate was steady and the job growth rate for the Rochester area remained the strongest in the state in April.
The latest jobs report from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development shows the state had a net gain of nearly 4000 jobs last month while the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate statewide remained at 2.7% for the sixth straight month.
Over the past year, Minnesota has experienced a net gain of about 44,500 jobs for a job growth rate of 1.5%. Almost 24,000 of those new jobs were in the private sector.
