
Southern Minnesota Man Killed in All-Terrain-Vehicle Crash
St. Peter, MN (KROC-AM News) - A crash involving an all-terrain vehicle claimed a life yesterday in southern Minnesota.
The Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office today reported that deputies responded around 4 PM yesterday to a report of a traffic crash involving a car and a side-by-side UTV. A news release says the collision occurred at a rural intersection located about 7 miles northeast of St. Peter.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the preliminary investigation determined the car, driven by a 16-year-old girl from Le Sueur, was traveling south on the county road when it collided with the UTV, which was traveling east on an intersecting gravel road.
The driver of the UTV was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Sheriff Brett Mason identified the victim as 82-year-old Alan Gregory Willmes of Le Sueur.
The teenage driver of the car was not hurt.
The Sheriff's Office says the deadly incident remains under investigation.
