Amery, WI (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in western Wisconsin have identified the victim of a fatal crash as a Minnesota teenager.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says the deadly crash happened around 10:40 Tuesday morning.
Officials released the fatal crash victim’s name on Thursday.

Western Wisconsin Authorities ID Twin Cities, MN Area Teen as Victim of Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash
The deadly crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 65 and County Rd. F in rural Amery, WI.
The teen was driving eastbound when they entered the intersection without stopping. A southbound pick-up then smashed into the driver’s side of the car, according to the crash investigation.
Authorities say the teen driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased motorist Thursday as 18-year-old Marley John Mickelsen of Lino Lakes, MN.
Two people were in the southbound pick-up. Officials say they were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Their names have not been released. An update on their conditions is not available as of Friday morning.
