
Fire at Dodge Center Hardware Store Under Investigation
Firefighters began fighting the fire from the outside before moving into the store to extinguish the blaze
Dodge Center, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire that broke out at a southeast Minnesota hardware store.

The Dodge Center Fire Department responded to the blaze around 7:05 Wednesday evening.
Responding firefighters found fire and heavy smoke coming from the roof of the building.
Attic Fire Leads to Smoke Damage at Dodge Center, MN Hardware Store, State Fire Marshal Investigating
The fire was reported at Johnson Hardware at 14 1st Ave. southwest in Dodge Center. and was first noticed by someone who saw smoke coming from the roof.
Firefighters began fighting the fire from the outside before moving into the store to extinguish the blaze, the Dodge Center Fire Department says.
Crews were able to contain the blaze to the building’s attic area and prevented the fire from extending into the office below, fire officials say.
Smoke damage was reported throughout the store, officials say. No injuries were reported.
The Kasson Fire Department, Claremont Fire Department, Dodge Center Ambulance, and the Dodge County Sheriff's Office also responded to the fire at the hardware store.
