
Search Underway for Suspects After Rochester Carjacking
Two men approached the vehicle, brandished a handgun and demanded the two occupants exit the vehicle.
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester police are looking for two people suspected of committing a carjacking early Thursday morning.

Police Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says officers responded to the carjacking report around 1:45 a.m. The vehicle was parked at the time of the armed theft.
Rochester Police: Suspects At Large Following Carjacking at Rochester, MN Apartment Complex
Police say the carjacking occurred outside of the Gates of Rochester apartment complex in the 2000 block of 41st St. in northwest Rochester.
The two suspects approached the vehicle, brandished a handgun and demanded the two occupants exit the vehicle. The victims complied and the suspects took off in the vehicle, according to the police report.
Responding officers later found the vehicle in motion with the suspects inside. Police attempted a traffic stop but the suspects did not pull over, Grayson said.
Law enforcement continued following the vehicle until the suspects stopped and abandoned it in the area of 41st St. and 16th Ave. Northwest, which is about a half mile from where the carjacking took place.
The suspects then disappeared on foot, police say.
Grayson says as of Thursday morning the suspects have not been caught. A description of the suspects is not available.
The carjacking is under investigation.
