
One Trucker Killed, Another Severely Injured in Crash on Icy Minnesota Highway
Slayton, MN (MinnesotaNow)-One truck driver was killed and another was severely injured in a crash on an icy Minnesota highway Monday morning.

The State Patrol responded to the fatal collision in southwestern Minnesota shortly before 7:30 a.m. Both of the truck drivers are Minnesota residents.
The deadly crash occurred on Hwy. 59 about 30 miles south of Marshall.

One Trucker Killed, Another Fighting for His Life After Semi's Collide on Icy Hwy. 59 in Southwestern Minnesota
One semi was northbound and the other was southbound when the large vehicles collided on the two-lane highway, the state crash report says.The deceased truck driver was traveling northbound.
He is described as a 58-year-old Minnesota man. Information about his name and death is set to be released Tuesday morning.
61-year-old Michael Arthur Griffin of Tyler was identified as the southbound truck driver. The State Patrol says he was transported to a hospital in Sioux Falls, SD with life-threatening injuries.
Griffin was not wearing his seatbelt and was not under the influence of alcohol, according to the state crash report.
Hwy. 59 had snow and ice on it at the time of the deadly crash, the State Patrol says.
