Undated (MinnesotaNow)- The State Patrol responded to two fatal crashes that happened within three hours of each other on Minnesota’s roads.

So far limited details have been released regarding the deadly crashes. The first happened shortly before 11:00 Thursday night and the second deadly crash occurred shortly before 1:30 Friday morning.

Two vehicles were involved in the Thursday night crash and the person killed in Friday morning’s crash was a motorcyclist.

At Least Two Young Men Killed in Crashes Thursday Night & Friday in Minnesota

Thursday night’s fatality happened on Hwy. 71 about 37 miles northeast of Alexandria. A car and pickup traveling north on the two-lane highway, the state crash report says

A 26-year-old Hewitt, MN man was driving the pickup and a 20-year-old man, who is also from Hewitt, was behind the wheel of the car, according to the State Patrol. 

The names of the motorists have not been released. The death toll of the crash is not yet available. 

21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on I-35W in Minneapolis

Friday morning’s traffic death happened on Interstate 35W in Minneapolis. A northbound motorcycle made contact with the median guardrail near the Johnson St. interchange. 

The state crash report says the motorcycle continued northbound on the freeway for about a quarter-mile before stopping on the right side of the guardrail. 

First responders found the motorcycle operator on the left shoulder, according to the State Patrol. 

The State Patrol is describing the motorcycle driver as a 21-year-old Minneapolis man. His name has also not yet been released.
