A news release issued by the City of Mankato says Mankato police responded to the deadly shooting Sunday afternoon. The suspect is in custody, police say. 

So far limited details are available.

Male Killed, Female Wounded in Shooting at Mankato Home

Officers responded to the report of gun shots at a residence on Castle Pines Dr., which is located northeast of downtown Mankato. 

Responding officers found a deceased male and wounded female at the scene. 

The female was brought to the Mayo Clinic hospital in Mankato and is in stable condition, the news release says. 

Suspect Arrested at Scene

Police arrested the suspect at the residence without incident, according to the news release. 

The names of the shooting victims and suspect gunmen have not been released as of Monday morning. No other details are available.
