Mankato, MN (MinnesotaNow)- Police in Mankato have identified the victims and suspect who were involved in a fatal shooting over the weekend.

Officers responded to the report of gunshots shortly after 1:30 Sunday afternoon. The deadly shooting occurred at a residence in the 700 block of Castle Pines Dr.

New information released on Monday says officers moved into the residence after hearing what was believed to be gunshot while they were outside.

Responding officers found a man dead at the scene and an injured woman. They also located the suspect.

On Monday, authorities identified the man killed as 52-year-old Joshua Robert Downey of Mankato. He was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in the bedroom of the home.

Police identified the injured woman as 37-year-old Rosalyn Marie Rode of Mankato. She was located in a bathroom. 

Rode was brought to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Mankato for treatment, police say. 

Fairmont Man ID'D as Gunman in Fatal Mankato Shooting

The suspected gunman, who police say was arrested at the scene without incident, was identified as 44-year-old Joseph David Bulfer of Fairmont

Authorities are requesting multiple charges against Bulfer, including second-degree murder

The fatal shooting is under investigation, police say.
