Few New Details Concerning College Student’s Murder

Moorhead police are asking for help in identifying a vehicle that was spotted on surveillance video near the area where the body of slain North Dakota State University student Thomas Bearson was found last September.

Police have not been able to identify the make or model of the car, which spent a couple of minutes in a parking lot next to a recreational vehicle store in Moorhead on the evening of Sept. 20. Bearson's body was found in the RV lot on Sept. 23.

Investigators say the 18-year-old Bearson, of Sartell, Minnesota, died "as a result of homicidal violence," but have not released further information.

Police said at a press conference Monday they have received the final medical examiner's report, but would not discuss details of the autopsy.
