Early-Morning Rochester Apartment Fire Displaces Over a Dozen
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- More than a dozen residents of a large Rochester apartment building were displaced by a fire early Monday morning.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Rochester Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched to the blaze shortly after 4:45 a.m. Responding firefighters found heavy fire and smoke pouring out of multiple windows and openings on the building’s second floor.

The fire broke out at the Falcon Landing Apartments at 897 16th Ave. Southeast.
Firefighters simultaneously began fighting the blaze and searching for anyone who may have been trapped inside of the burning building, officials say. The pre-dawn firefight and search occurred amid single digit temperatures.
No injuries were reported. The fire inflicted extensive damage to one apartment and caused smoke damage to multiple other units on the second floor of the building, the news release says.
Approximately 20 people were displaced by the early morning blaze. They are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross, the Rochester Fire Department says.
The fire is under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office. Mayo Clinic Ambulance and the Rochester Police Department also responded to the scene of the fire.
