GARNER, Iowa (AP) — A former Iowa State trooper has been charged with three counts in a child pornography case.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports that 66-year-old David Hubbard, of Garner, has pleaded not guilty to three counts of misdemeanor sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators say Hubbard had two photographs and one video, each involving a minor, in November 2013.

Hubbard was arrested on June 30 in Britt by Hancock County sheriff's deputies.

Neither Hubbard nor his attorney, Peter Berger of Urbandale, immediately returned phone messages left for them on Saturday.

State Patrol spokesman Sgt. Nathan Ludwig says Hubbard retired from the Iowa State Patrol in 2004 after nearly 30 years with the department.
