The mother of two from Winona went missing on March 31 and was found dead in an area north of Mabel on the afternoon of June 7. The benefit was held Saturday at the Witoka Tavern in Winona County

The Facebook page Finding Madeline Kingsbury says Saturday’s event raised $35,000 for Kingsbury’s children. The proceeds will be used for the children's, ages 5 and 2, needs now and in the future.

Those who were unable to attend the benefit can still donate to the children. Organizers have set up a Venmo account and a GofundMe to continue taking donations. Anyone wishing to donate to the kids can also do so at any Merchant’s Bank branch by asking to donate to the  “Benefit Fund of Maddi Kingsbury.”

Authorities arrested 29-year-old Adam Fravel, the father of the two children, following the body discovery. He was charged with two counts of second-degree murder in Winona County on Friday.
