
Elderly Southeast Minnesota Man Injured in Crash With Garbage Truck
Hayfield, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash involving a garbage truck sent an elderly southeast Minnesota man to the hospital on Wednesday.

The other vehicle involved was a pick-up. The State Patrol says the elderly man was the only person in his vehicle.
First responders were dispatched to the pick-up garbage truck collision shortly before 8 a.m.

Elderly Hayfield, MN Man Injured in Crash With Garbage Truck Along Hwy. 30 in Dodge County
The crash happened along Hwy. 30 east of Hayfield where the garbage truck collided with the eastbound pick-up as the garbage truck was pulling out of the driveway, according to the state crash report.
38-year-old Darren Allan Reddel was identified as the operator of the garbage truck. The State Patrol says the Riceville, IA man was not hurt.
Authorities identified 90-year-old Raymond Richard Kyllo of Hayfield as the pick-up driver. He was taken to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Austin for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report says.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Hayfield Ambulance also responded to the garbage truck-pick-up collision.
