Planning for Project to Improve One of Rochester's Busiest Intersections Continues
The project scheduled to start in 2027 focuses on the Hwy. 14 and South Broadway intersection, which MnDOT says sees 50,000 vehicles daily.
Officials are still ironing out plans to improve the intersection, however MnDOT says some options considered for the project are changing the turn lanes, slowing speeds, resurfacing part of South Broadway and replacing the traffic signal.
Earlier this week crews laid down different pavements at the intersection to test for the 2027 project.
