The combined cost of the projects is $760,000. $200,000 comes from a grant awarded to the city last year and the remaining costs are being covered by money allocated from the city’s 2020 Parks Referendum.

A City of Rochester spokesperson says the work at both parks is expected to wrap up next month.

Slattery Park Improvements

The larger of the two projects is happening at Slattery Park, which is in the area of 9 ½ St. and 11th Ave. Southeast. Starting Monday crews are set to begin replacing the playground equipment.

The second phase of work at the southeast Rochester park will start once work in the park connected to Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) Marion Road Duct Bank Project is completed.

Allandale Park Improvements

Construction crews will also start a $260,000 project to replace the sports course at Allandale Park in northwest Rochester this week.
