Local Homebuilders Stayed Busy in July

Rochester home builders enjoyed another strong month in July. The City Building Safety Department issued 38 permits for new single-family homes last month.  While that is slightly below the total from June, it raised the total number of new home permits approved this year to 192, which exceeds the total number issued for the entire year in 2011.

Overall, the city issued 220 building permits valued at over $20.5 million dollars last month.

That boosted the valuation total for the year to just under $200 million dollars.
