Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- An elderly Rochester man was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital after his vehicle crashed into the Rochester Chick-Fil-A over the weekend.

Rochester Police Captain Casey Moilanen says officers were dispatched to the restaurant around 1:10 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle-building collision occurred in one of the drive-through lanes.

The 75-year-old man, who’s name is not being released, told police he was in the drive through lane on the left hand side when he noticed the engine of the vehicle was driving was revving. The man said he took his foot off the break and the vehicle lurched forward, striking the south side of the building, Moilanen said.

Moilanen said the collision left a hole on the outside of the wall. The driver was taken from the drive though to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of what are being described as minor injuries.
