
Rochester Man Convicted in Deadly Drive-By Shooting Accused of Selling Meth to Informant
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A methamphetamine sale to a law enforcement informant has led to a felony drug charge against a Rochester man with a criminal past.

That’s according to a criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court on Friday.
The alleged drug sale happened during a controlled buy conducted by the Rochester Police Department last Summer.
Rochester Man Convicted in Deadly Drive-By Shooting Facing Drug Charge for Sale to Informant
40-year-old Abdulkadir Omar Mohamed is charged with one count of first-degree drug sales.

The court document states a law enforcement informant told police that Mohamed distributes methamphetamine in the Rochester area.
Mohamed sold the informant 24.9 grams of methamphetamine, the complaint says. Officers conducted physical surveillance of the alleged drug sale.
Man Charged for Drug Sale In Custody for Burglary Case
Mohamed is currently in the Olmsted County Jail for a burglary case that stems from a series of incidents at a northwest Rochester home during which he was accused of forcing his way inside while armed with a handgun.

The complaint in that case also alleges he was seen pouring gasoline on a wooden deck. He’s facing 18 charges in that case.
Deadly Drive-By Shooting Conviction
Court records indicate Mohamed was convicted of second-degree manslaughter in a deadly drive-by shooting in Rochester.
The shooting claimed the life of 31-year-old Abdullahi Omar Sheikh in August of 2016. He served a 58-month prison sentence in the case.

Mohamed was also on probation for felony fleeing and felony theft convictions at the time of the drug sale.
Mohamed made his first court appearance in the drug case on Friday.
