The Vikings did a pilot program for this league last spring at four different high schools in the state. Evidently, it went well because they are now expanding the league to 51 schools!

To help launch the league, the Vikings are providing $600,000 to help pay for "coaching, officiating, equipment and transportation." This means that most students who are interested in playing will be able to pay for free.
Games will be played on Sundays, so if girls also want to do other spring sports they're able to. Games are all double-headers, too, so two games in one day making the league only 6 weeks long in total.

The first games of the season will be on Sunday, April 27th. Regular games will continue on Sunday, May 4th, May 11th, and May 18th.
The playoffs will then be on Sunday, June 1st and the championship will be on Monday, June 9th at TCO Stadium in Eagan.
