That’s according to a news release issued on Thursday by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He made his first court appearance following the indictment on Wednesday.
The federal charges allege 32-year-old Dorian Christopher Barrs produced and received child pornography. The Minnetonka man is also accused of coercing and enticing minors to engage in sexually explicit conduct.
Federal court documents say Barrs used Snapchat, other social media and text messages to have sexually-focused communications with minor girls from October of 2014 through this past March.

The indictment also says he would also leverage the trust he earned as a volleyball coach to coerce his victims into participating in sexually explicit acts with him and would solicit sexually explicit materials from the young girls.
If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, resources are available for help. Visit the RAINN website (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network) or dial 800-656-HOPE (800-656-4673).
Barrs also would produce material that depicted him engaging in sexual acts with the minor females.
He’s charged with four counts of production of child pornography, one count of receipt of child pornography, and four counts of coercion and enticement of a minor.
The news release says law enforcement is still working to identify and confirm the identities of many of the victims and are urging parents or guardians of girls who Barrs coached to come forward if they may have been victimized by the coach.
