
Motorcyclist Injured Avoiding Deer Just North of Rochester

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A late-night motorcycle crash just north of Rochester sent a man to St. Marys Hospital.
The State Patrol says the crash occurred around 12:40 AM Monday when the motorcyclist swerved to avoid a deer. The crash occurred on southbound Highway 52 just north of the 75th Street interchange.
The motorcyclist, identified by the State Patrol as 53-year-old Corey Wiegmann of Stillwater, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. The State Patrol report on the incident indicates he was not wearing a helmet and that alcohol was not involved.

The State Patrol also responded to a single-vehicle crash late Sunday afternoon that injured two Rochester men.
It also occurred on southbound Highway 52 but it was in Goodhue County between Zumbrota and Cannon Falls near Hader. The State Patrol says 26-year-old Ahmed Mohamed Mumin was driving an SUV when he lost control shortly after 5:15 PM and the vehicle rolled in the south ditch.
Mumin was transported to Rochester for treatment at St. Marys Hospital while his passenger, 22-year-old Demetrius Tankhamvang was brought to the Red Wing Hospital. The State Patrol described the injuries suffered by both men as non-life-threatening.
